$345.00
sold out

We’ll create Mini-Me puppets and marionettes using a range of gathered, upcycled and raw materials to make hand puppets and marionettes that represent us! We’ll work with fabric, wood, string, found objects, plaster cloth, and paint. We’ll take a look at the work of Julie Taymor’s puppet designs in the Magic Flute, at the work of Basil Twist, the Bread & Puppet Theater, Dan Hurlin and a few others for inspiration! At the end of the session we’ll have a Puppet Show Gallery Opening! This workshop will be taught by Fire in the Belly Teaching Artist, Katey Darago.

*Please note that in these mixed-age workshops, participants are divided into different groups, based on age/grade, each working at their own pace.

All workshops take place in my outdoor garage-studio space in the College Hill neighborhood of Maplewood, New Jersey.
